The flowers on the Altar are donated by Pastor H. B. Robinson, Jr., in memory of Pastor Ernest N. Cox.
Today is Katie Houseworth Day. The Nurses Guild and Health Ministry will be honoring all the “Silver Saints” of True Love Missionary Baptist Church during the 11:15am service. We acknowledge and thank God for blessing True Love with all our members who are 85 years old and older. The third Sunday in April has been named “Katie Houseworth Day” in honor of Mother Katie Houseworth (April 22, 1912—January 15, 2011). She faithfully served in her church as a dedicated nurse, and member of TLMBC for over fifty years. Mother Houseworth was also a Divine Mother of Favor. She served on the Nurse’s Guild until her health failed at 97 years old. When she passed a few months later, she was 98 years old.
On Saturday, April 30, 2016, the Thespian Ministry will present a Puppet Show featuring “The Crusading Puppets for Christ” at 4:00pm in the educational building.
The Ministers of True Love would like to thank all the participants, as well as all who came out in support of the Chester Hollman Open Mic Program.
Please NOTE: There will be a Seniors Brunch with Pastor on May 21, 2015 (see upcoming events). There is a sign-up sheet at the back of the church for all members 60 years and older. The Pastor’s Aide needs an accurate count of all who will attend.
